The Magical Duck Realm Where Dan Loses His Shit w/Coding

Backstory: Vander Blues is the younger child of a professional martial artist and a three michelin stars chef. Born in Sinnoh, Vander moved out as an infant due to his father travelling constantly in order to compete in many sport events. This encouraged Leonard, Vander's older brother, to participate in every league challenge of every region they visited. But for Vander this was not the case, he constantly changed from schools, he eventually stopped caring on forging any friendships and instead focused his attention on becoming the clown of the class, craving the same kind of attention his parents focused on their talented son, despite being treated the same way. After living in Unova for 3 years, Vander got sent against his will to the Azure Academy as his parents thought it would be best to give their son the best education possible in his birth region; receiving an Oshawott, an Unova-version Pokedex and basic trainer gear, he got sent straight away to Sinnoh to start his adventure.

He used to ignore most of his classes back in Trainer's School due to a strong dislike for being told what to do, instead he would spend his free time with books and magazines in order to learn as much as he could from Pokemon and battling at his own pace, but never truly executing the "practice" aspect of learning. He has a single goal in his mind: Surpass his brother as a trainer by winning a Pokemon League. Vander also enjoys using a skateboard a lot, preferring it over roller blades or bicycles as his means of transport. He also enjoys writing in his notebook, he mostly writes about battle scenarios he imagines, personal notes and short stories, but he doesn't like sharing these with anybody.

Due to his unorthodox way of battling, Vander is shown to have a certain degree of talent when it comes to that, but his lack of practical attempts can leave his performance underwhelming even when the concepts he drew in his mind are top notch promising. Despite that, he would spend hours checking the attributes and moves of a Pokemon to see what kind of crazy strategy he can come up with. Upon rare occasions, he can be seen somewhat melancholic, mostly when he is by himself, as he always wished to have some friends to hang out during his early childhood, and often wishes that his family never had to travel so much.

He got his name because his father, a cultured nerd, wanted to name him as the Main Character of his favorite comic book called Gale Wings, but he couldn't get away with it, so Vander was the best name he could come up with as a homage to his childhood.


Likes: Battling (with a blazing passion), cooking (especially grilled-type dishes), salty ice cream (childhood memories), spending time admiring the scenery (lies he is just bored as fuck).

Dislikes: Errands, small Dragon-Type Pokemon, sour food, Poison-Type Pokemon.

Fears: Serpent-Like Pokemon, large Dragon-Type Pokemon, needles, solitude and abandonment.

Aspirations: Become a number one battler by winning the Sinnoh League Championship. Defeat his brother: Leonard Blues, in a Pokémon battle.
