WARNING! BOSS BATTLE!
Vander decided to have some change of pace and checked out the latest gossips and extra curricular missions in the bulletin board, to his surprise, the rumors about a Rotom causing mayhem inside the Academy were still going on, as the bounty for getting the cursed thing out was still up and intact. He gave out a cheeky, confident grin and accepted the quest, sure that his new abilities as a trainer would do more than enough to finish the job.
Finish the job... Finish the damn job he said, as he cleaned off some dust from his hoodie. Sparks flew by erratically around the abandoned classroom, glass was scattered across the floor, and on top of that, some desks were turned into absolute junk from brutal, collateral abuse. Who would guess that this Rotom was more nimble than ever? He admitedly blamed himself on the most part, he bring up his Phanpy, Daruk, to the battle but the little elephant lacked a single Ground-Type move. It was getting to the point of being utterly ridiculous, as without one he was lacking the necessary power to actually hit hard the Ghost-Type Pokemon.
Dark wasn't hurt that badly either, the little boy was more than capable of holding himself strongly in battle, especially during situations this tense. Vander though, was in another state of mind, he was focusing too much, way too much, set on defeating this Rotom for good, or at least drive it away to another place. He wasn't going to be a shame for the school, and himself, for not being able to fend off a Rotom, oooh no way Jose! He looked around the room as quick as he could in small glances, not wanting to let go of his sight against the mischievous ghost. One blink was more than enough to make it disappear, and he was not going to chase it for another set of abandoned classrooms until they reached a dead end.
Rotom wasn't liking being that generous to the blonde, and instead zip zapped around at blinding speeds across the place to distract the pair of opponents it obtained. It shoot out random Thundershocks with the intent of scaring off the blonde lad, noticing that it wasn't going to be able to damage the Phanpy at all with these strategies. Vander noticed it though, in his misfit of hiding under wooden desks and praying that they wouldn't break from the impact. He only needed one more attack, just one more! He could feel it, that Rotom wouldn't go and try to scare him away if it wasn't on the verge of being defeated. Using the same desk that just protected him, Vander got up and tried to get a better position to corner up the Rotom.
With most of the electric escape routes completely fried up, the Rotom's only way to get out victorious was by overwhelming its opponents, not an easy task, but not impossible. Before it could do any more Thundershocks though, it flinched at the sudden touch of the wall behind it, that only meant one thing: Dead end. If a Rotom could pale, this one would have done it without hesitation, to which Vander took advantage of.
He pushed his arm forward with a large grin, already savoring victory in his lips, sweet, sweet victory. But as he lunged his body, his legs tangled up and caused him to fly out of the impulse he had already obtained. The desk he was carrying was sent drifting in the opposite direction, everything just went so fast that not even little Daruk could understand a thing, and he was staring at everything in front seats very near of the damn Rotom. Vander's inexplicable flying body, which mind you, was yelling his lungs out, crashed against the horrified and utterly baffled Rotom that did not took the audacity to dodge the seemingly idiotic move of heroic slow motion action. In a weird, inexplicable fashion, the Rotom was knocked out, squished by Vander's whole body.
Daruk just tilted his head as he let out some sweat off his head, perplexed by his trainer's... Odd strategy, and completely unaware that the last showcase was made entirely by accident, At least the Rotom got taken care of... Right?
