Naomi vs Vander - Battle Club Showdown!

Vander grinned and cleaned under his nose before getting into a stance, then pointed at Naomi as Soma darted forward to his spot on the field. "Challenge accepted, show me what you've got!"

Upon calling her attack, the electric waves dashed forward towards Soma with haste, errarically lighting up the field. Vander squinted and dragged his left leg behind him, followed by his Dewott as they fixed their stance. "Use Detect to dodge!"

Soma's eyes shone a quick gleam, swiftly predicting the movements of the electric current as he hurried himself to the side, twirling a bit.

Status: Fine.
Soma used Detect.

Vander grunted and stood his ground as he barked his order. "Take it!" Soma shielded himself to endure the hit, feeling the flames engulf him mercilessly. He cried in pain, sustaining a nasty burn on his arms, making his trainer squint. This wasn't good at all, Soma's physical attacking power had been cut to half, that meant bad news.

Vander shook the thoughts aside and pushed his arm forward."We can handle it, Water Pulse!" The otter tried to shake off the pain as he could and focused on the battle, swiftly slicing off the air as he created currents of water in the shape of the japanese kanji for Water, then shooting it towards Osiris with haste.

Vander yelled, and Soma dodged the attack with ease with a jump as he twisted in the ahead air. "Come on, we can do it! Razor Shell!!"

Soma surrounded his blades under water and dashed along, leaning to the side to empower his strike as he hit the Yamaask fiercely.

Vander grinned. "That's the stuff!!" Soma flinched though, the burns not helping him to remain healthy.

Vander almost let out a scream when he saw the electricity make its way towards Soma, he tensed up, knowing that it was unavoidable, so he braced for the worst.

"Defensive stance! We can take it!" He hoped.

Soma crossed his arms in front of him and prepared to get hit, suddenly getting shocked by the violent attack powered up by the nearby water. The otter let out a shriek of pain which caused his partner to groan, he hated it, he hated seeing his best friend in such pain.

The Dewott got on his knees, letting out some smoke after the attack, he shook his head and slowly stood up though, keeping a defiant stare against his opponent. "It's going to take more than that to beat us!" Vander faked a grin, forcing his anxiety to hide behind his cocky demeanor.

"We gotta find a way to protect ourselves, fire off a Water Pulse while I figure out a plan!"

Soma did not hesitate to fire off attacks, rushing to the side to keep moving, both knew that Osiris would need time to charge up another Shock Wave, she was probably going to use Hex again, and Vander knew that they lacked time.

Vander stared defiantly at the electric waves that dashed across the gym, crawling against the surface like spiders coming out of there den. There was no way to dodge that attack, Soma had already received concerning amounts of damage and taking that hit would mean defeat.

But that word was not in their vocabulary. Vander grinned and readied up, with Soma following the same movement without having the need to look, that burn was alarming, but he had a plan... A crazy one, but it could work. They waited for the shock wave to get closer and closer, with each second that passed the sounds of little lightnings cackling against the air drew more impatience on the dynamic duo, which seemed to be immobile at the time, frozen against the overwhelming attack.

"There is no way to dodge this..." Vander let his opponent know that as he looked focused, acknowledging what seemed his defeat. "... but we can dodge in the air! Now Soma, Water Pulse to the floor!"

Soma roared and sliced up the air as he summoned his water powers, then with a jump he aimed the attack underneath him and shot a massive blast of water just as the electricity was about to reach him. He did a somersault know the air as he positioned to retaliate, picking up his scalchops and readying them.

"There's our opening!" Vander yelled as he punched the air. "Activate Torrent, Razor Shell!"

Soma radiated a powerful blue aura as he pushed through the air, water covered his blades as they took the former of small knives, swirling in a vortex of powerful currents. Finally, he crashed on the Yamaask, slicing up them with their remaining strength.
