The Past (NOTE: Past Events. Everything that led up to this point!)

Year 0^BH, December 31^st: A single egg appears from a void of nothingness, and hatches into the Creator of all Pokémon: Arceus.
Year 1^BH, January 1^st: Arceus creates Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina. Arceus gives Dialga and Palkia the abilities to control time and space, respectively. Giratina is banished to another dimension for its violent behavior. Arceus begins creation of the modern world.
Year 2^BH, January-December: Arceus creates Uxie, Azelf and Mesprit so that they in return could create willpower, knowledge, and emotion respectively, characteristics that are in all modern humans and Pokémon. The trio dive to the bottom of present-day Lake Valor, Lake Acuity, and Lake Verity, and remain dormant. Arceus creates the Sinnoh region and Mt. Coronet, which divides the region into two sections. During this violent procedure, Stark Mountain is created and Heatran is formed in lava. Arceus finally creates the Azure Flute, Adamant, Lustrous, and Griseous Orbs before falling into a never-ending sleep at the Hall of Origin. The Azure Flute is left for when Arceus is to be called upon again by humanity if necessary.

For a period of time after this, it is assumed that at least a hundred million years have passed since the previous events. Humans appear in the Pokémon World sometime after these millions of years. Written history begins.

Year 205, July 14^th: An ancient temple is constructed atop of a massive mountain by the Sinnohans in order to pay homage to Arceus and all of its creations.
Year 357, August 9^th: Celestic Town is founded, and a shrine depicting the Lake Trio is created to pay homage to Uxie, Azelf, and Mesprit. Visitors who pay tribute are often said to be gifted in unknown ways, it is said that those that gift the trio often go on to become successful intellects.
Year 632, April 30^th: Inhabitation of the island containing Stark Mountain begins, aptly named Rhydon Island for its indigenous population.
Year 635, October 2^nd: Stark Mountain erupts, decimating all life on Rhydon Island; The island is renamed The Valley of Ash and would not be inhabited for over a thousand years later.
Year 1200, December 10^th: Iron-clad invaders from a foreign region known as Oblivia land upon Newmoon Island. The initially start trading with the Sinnohans and teach them about their mythical armor and how it is used to convey emotions to their Pokémon in a form of control. They later migrate to Iron Island where they spread all the way to present-day Canalave City.
Year 1201, March 27^th: The Sinnohans begin production of their own form of armor from Mt. Coronet and take it to to the Celestic Town Shrine. There the Sinnohans held a rather large feast for the Legendary Pokémon, leaving many valuable golds and gems at the shrine altar. In return, the Lake Trio bless the Sinnohan's armor with the ability to convey feelings to their Pokémon.
Year 1212, November 23^rd: More Oblivians migrate hearing word of new lands, and emigrate to Sinnoh.
Year 1213, January 8^th: Sinnoh remains in relative peace with the foreigners, but the emigrants of Oblivia demand representation in the Sinnohan government as permanent residents. Sinnoh allows the Oblivians a seat at the council, which temporarily alleviates any hostilities. To further solidify the bonds of the two groups, a feast is held for both parties and a national holiday is established for every fourth Thursday of November.
Year 1245, February 19^th: The Oblivian people become restless as a result of conflicting beliefs, and are led by a new King that aptly nicknames the group of Oblivians as the "Steelheads." The Steelhead King rallies his people and prepares to conquer the entirety of Sinnoh with the belief that the Sinnohan government is not properly attending to the Oblivian's needs.
Year 1245, May 13^th: The Steelhead King rallies his people and prepares to conquer the entirety of Sinnoh. The start of the Sinnohan-Oblivian war begins. The Steelheads launch their first attack on the Sinnohans in the Battle of Eterna Forest, which they effortlessly win due to the element of surprise.
Year 1260, September 8^th: The Sinnohans call upon the Legendary Pokémon for aid, recognizing that they are fighting a losing battle. The Lake Trio grant their wish and bestow evolutionary stones upon the residents.
Year 1260, October 20^th: A sudden burst of retaliation and strength shocks the Steelheads, as they learn of the deal the Sinnohans made with the Legendaries. A shrine is erected on Newmoon Island, and the Steelheads attempt to summon their own form of divine intervention based off of an Ancient Sinnohan tale of Darkrai.
Year 1260, October 31^st: After countless days of worship and prayer, the Legendary Pokémon Darkrai heeds their call; sensing the desperation and fear within their dreams. Darkrai and the Steelheads create a pact, in exchange for its help, Darkrai would be free to prey upon the prisoners of war as it feeds off of their bad dreams. It is said that Darkrai only appears during times of great conflict and pain.
Year 1260, November 28^th: Darkrai bestows the Steelhead King with an ancient golden set of armor, capable of controlling even a Legendary Pokémon; and further gifting the wearer with immortality.
Year 1305, June 26^th: The Oblivian-Sinnohan Conflict rages, with periodic bouts of physical combat. The Steelhead Leader learns of the power to control Legendaries, and plots to use the armor to turn Uxie, Azelf and Mesprit against the Sinnohans after learning of their locations. Darkrai simultaneously unleashes countless bouts of nightmares upon the Sinnohans, prompting Cresselia to appear and side with the residents of Sinnoh in order to combat the never-ending nightmares.
Year 1305, July 29^th: The Steelheads locate the Lake Trio and summon Uxie, Azelf and Mesprit to their side with the help of the Golden Armor.
Year 1307, April 5^th: The Battle of Floaroma Hill occurs, and the Sinnohans lose countless lives.
Year 1307, August 17^th: The remaining residents of Floaroma Hill plea to the Legendaries for aid in the war by decorating the battlefield with flowers. A wandering Bard expresses disdain for the war, and offers up a gift in thanks to nature and all things beautiful; hoping to move with Legendaries. Floaroma Hill miraculously bursts into bloom with the awakening of Shaymin, all thanks to the Bard. Recognizing the horrific state that Sinnoh is in, Shaymin sides with the native Sinnohans and Cresselia in an attempt to fight back against the Oblivian Steelhead faction.
Year 1310, March 1^st: Cresselia and Darkrai bestow the ultimate attacks upon each side of the war in an attempt to ensure a victor.
Year 1310, May 4^th: The Sinnohans learn of the pact with Darkrai that the Oblivians made, and are informed of the Golden Armor thanks to an inside source. They begin plotting a way to remove the Golden Armor from the Steelhead King in order to free the Lake Trio.
Year 1310, June 14^th: The Sinnohans unleash an assault on the Steelhead city, currently known as Canalave City. Using the battle as a diversion, the Sinnohans send a recon squad to the Steelhead Headquarters at Iron Island. There the squad successfully infiltrates and bests the Steelhead King in combat due to all of the soldiers being in Canalave. The squad removes the Golden Armor and the Steelhead army ceases fighting, an Armistice is temporarily drafted between the warring parties.
Year 1310, June 16^th: The Sinnohans recognize the power of the Golden Armor as being capable of controlling entire armies including Legendary Pokémon and, as shown by the Steelhead King, and deem it a threat to humanity. The five pieces are scattered across Sinnoh in secrecy, and the remaining Steelheads now free of their King's control sign a treaty to no longer fight the Sinnohans. These Steelheads assimilate into Sinnohan culture, and the King is imprisoned for life.
Year 1310, June 17^th: The Oblivian-Sinnohan Conflict resolves, marking the end of the 65-year war. The Legendary Pokémon vanish to an eternal slumber.
Year 1312, January 3^rd: With a new reformed Council and central government, Sinnoh is ushered into an era of peace and prosperity known as the Golden Age. Advances in technology arise in the following years.
Year 1707, September 9^th: A scouting party visits the Valley of Ash, and inhabitation of Stark Mountain begins after the active volcano is deemed relatively stable.
Year 1860, April 25^th: The world's first Pokéball is crafted, and the design undergoes multiple changes with technology decades later.
Year 2000, May 6^th: The Pokétch Company is founded, as is the Global Trade Station system; allowing for Trainers to trade Pokémon from any region across the globe through a combined PC system.
Year 2004, March 1^st: Cynthia sets out on her journey to become a Pokémon Trainer.
Year 2004, November 22^nd: Cynthia is crowned the Pokémon League Champion, thus dethroning Cyrus after a humiliating defeat.
Year 2006, September 26^th: A new crime syndicate forms in the Sinnoh region following centuries of relative peace and prosperity, known as Team Galactic led by the previously defeated Champion, Cyrus.
Year 2006, December 19^th: Team Galactic Commanders Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn journey to the three lakes of Sinnoh and capture Uxie, Azelf, and Mesprit. Using the gems of the Lake Trio, two Red Chains are crafted to summon and control Dialga and Palkia.
Year 2007, January 2^nd: Team Galactic locates Spear Pillar, and ventures there to use the Red Chains to summon and control Dialga and Palkia. The two Legendaries are summoned and successfully controlled by the chains, prompting the Legendary Pokémon Giratina to create a portal from the Distortion World to Sinnoh to stop Cyrus from tearing apart the fabric of time and space to create a new world. Champion Cynthia and the eight Gym Leaders of the region arrive at Spear Pillar to witness the events. The Gym Leaders engage Cyrus' Commanders Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn in combat in order for Cynthia to travel to the Distortion World unimpeded.
Year 2007, January 2^nd: Cynthia defeats both Cyrus and Giratina in battle and leaves the Distortion World to ensure that Sinnoh is saved. Team Galactic is quickly defeated, and Cyrus' Commanders flee upon being told by Cynthia that Cyrus is not coming back to this world. Team Galactic temporarily vanishes.
Year 2012, May 3^rd: The Valley of Ash is renamed to the Battle Zone and after a decade of construction the Battle Frontier, Resort Area, and Survival area are established.
Year 2012, June 30^th: Team Galactic resurfaces under the leadership of Commander Charon at Stark Mountain, where Mars and Jupiter aid him in a plot to hold the citizens of Sinnoh for ransom by threatening to cause Stark Mountain to erupt. Cynthia defeats Mars and Jupiter who flee, leaving Charon to venture further into the mountain alone. Cynthia confronts Charon and defeats him in battle, where he is then arrested by the international police.
Year 2012, July 18^th: The International Police raid both of Team Galactic's Eterna and Veilstone City headquarters only to find them completely empty and the computers wiped of all information. A few minor Galactic uprisings occur but are quickly squelched. Looker leaves the Sinnoh region in search of the remaining three Galactic Commanders.
Year 2013, February 2^nd: After ensuring that Sinnoh was safe from the likes of Team Galactic, Cynthia is inspired to found a school where people can be taught to properly defend themselves against heinous organizations such as Team Galactic. The Academy would further teach students the proper way to become fully fledged Pokémon Trainers. Cynthia leaves the Sinnoh Region to travel the globe and learn about lore in far-off regions, while also finding inspiration for her school.
Year 2013, February 3^rd - Year 2017, December 10^th: Cynthia travels around the world for 4 years, visiting Johto, Kanto, Unova, Hoenn, Kalos, and Alola. There she learns about each regions Lore and Mythos, and how trainers come of age as Pokémon Trainers then set off on their journey. She brings back a variety of Pokémon as gifts for her fellow Gym Leaders, and with an elite roster of handpicked professionals to teach at her Academy.
Year 2017, May 20^th: Cynthia hosts the Pokémon League, where she unveils the name of her new Academy and the opening date. The Azure Academy is revealed to open in the following Spring. Inquiries across the globe begin pouring in requesting invitations to the Academy within hours.
Year 2017, August 5^th: Invitations to Azure Academy are sent out across the globe.
