[The Book of Destiny]: Prologue
____________________________________________
On what was said to be the clearest night in history, October laid promptly in bed with magenta eyes fixated on the celestial sky. Even after a busy days work of helping his parents on their fieldwork expedition, there seemed to be something out there in the deep abyss of the never ending stars keeping him awake.
And that's when he saw it.
The tight cluster of glistening stars laying silently besides one another was abruptly torn by a roaring wisp of purple and red energy plummeting through the air. October jolted up on the bed and watched in awe as the mutated star grew larger and wider as it edged closer to landing. "Holy--!"
October flung the sheets from his legs and rummaged down the dimly lit stairs which led to his front door. Swinging it open, October leaped from his porch and onto the cobbled path; though before he could react any further, his eyes shimmered a glimpse at the glowing meteorite as it mowed down a large collision of Glimwood Tangle's wildlife, before crash landing deep in the forest and subsequently erupting a ripple of purple energy that blew through the town, knocking October over in the process.
A buzzing noise momentarily rang between October's ears as his eyes flickered open; but with a grunt, he managed to rise to his feet. October exhaled a panting breath as he continued to sprint into the bioluminescent forest that was coated in the hue remainder of green and blue lights, which all formed a pathway towards the extraterrestrial rock. However, by the time he had managed reached it, the pulsing glow had been replaced by purple smoke that poured from a large crack in the center of the meteorite. It appeared as if something had hatched from it. October froze in the thought that something could jump out right now and attack him, though the closer he got, the more it became apparent that whatever came from inside of the meteorite had vanished as quickly as it came.
October let out a shaken breath as he slowly extended his fingertips to graze the meteorite; feeling its warmth. ".. Where did you come from?" He mumbled.
After pondering at the rock and chiselling away a small shard from its corner, October headed over to Professor Sonia's laboratory to seek the answers he was so desperate for.
. . .
Some time later..
. . .
"It seems the rock you saw falling from the sky is in fact a meteorite from outer space," Exclaimed Sonia as she walked through the glass doors of the research facility to meet October. "From the results we gathered, it seems this shard alone is still giving off a powerful energy that we've never seen before, and though we can't quite determine what it is exactly, it could be possible that some kind of extraterrestrial life-form has hatched from it like you said." Sonia's eyes fell onto October as she finished her sentence. She looked serious. "I think you're right, October. I think a Pokémon did come to our planet for an unknown reason.. and I'm putting it in your hands to find out why."
