WELCOME TO GALAR

Six months have passed since the events of Sword and Shield, and Galar has once again opened its gates for all to participate in the new season of the Pokémon League. With only a select few receiving an endorsement, these Trainers must travel the region and win all 8 Gym Badges in order to participate in the final tournament as the whole of Galar watches.

THE GALAR REGION
Notable locations, towns and cities around the region.

The Towns of Galar

}

	Postwick Town *"A farming town since days of old, where people and their Pokémon live in close harmony."* Postwick Town is located towards the bottom of the Galar map and was originally the home to Champion Leon, which has made it a very popular starting destination for beginner Trainers. Covered in mass greenlands and fields, this is the perfect town for farmers and folk who wish to live a peaceful life.
	Wedgehurst Town "Our quiet borough is home to the esteemed Pokémon Research Lab." Wedgehurst Town is located on the South end of Route 1 which connects from Postwick. Most commonly known for hosting the regions Pokémon Laboratory, Wedgehurst is rather quiet and moves slowly; though the people who live here are very tight-knit and help out whenever they can.
	Turffield Town *"A town nestled within the nurturing bowl of our many terraced farming fields."* Turffield Town is located at the South end of Route 4 and is mostly covered in plains and fields; making it more often notable for hosting the Grass-Type Gym in the towns center. The East exit of this town leads to Route 5.
	Hulbury Town *"A bustling seaport that many visit to see its lively market stalls and famed restaurant."* Hulbury Town is popular for its lively atmosphere and exquisite market place due to homing Galar's seaport. Upon the edge of the docks stands the Water-Type Gym.
	Stow-on-Side Town *"A vibrant town that has grown up around an ancient mural tucked away in the mountains."* Stow-on-Side is perhaps Galar's oldest standing town within the region. Popular for its vibrant atmosphere, this town has grown around the ancient mural of the mountains. It is also popular for hosting the Ghost-Type Gym just near Glimwood Tangle.
	Ballonlea Town *"A charming town where the people make their homes among the trunks of the towering trees."* Ballonlea Town is a mysterious village tucked away deep in the roots of Glimwood Tangle. Known for its enigmatic nature of glowing mushrooms and towering old trees, most people commonly visit to battle the Fairy-Type Gym.
	Spikemuth Town *"This rocking town has a punk vibe and streets crammed with shops lined up cheek by jowl."* Spikemuth Town is located within Route 9 and is most commonly known for its punk vibe after Team Yell made it their local hangout. However, this town is popular due to being a good location for shopping, whilst also hosting the Dark-Type Gym.

The Cities of Galar

}

	Motostoke City *"An industrial city studded with steam-powered marvels of modern engineering."* Motostoke City is located after the East exit of the Wild Area and is an exceptionally popular location due to the power of steam-powered engineering and their variety of shops. Motostoke is also home to the Fire-Type Gym.
	Hammerlocke City "A city of great history, living and thriving within castle walls that date back to the middle ages." Hammerlocke City is an exceptionally old location that has always been home to the royal family, making it a popular destination for wealthy citizens or Gym Challengers wishing to take on the Dragon-Type Gym. Being overpopulated has made this city grow over the years, leading them to have a large quantity of shops and restaurants.
	Circhester City *"Buildings from an age long gone still stand about the steaming hot spring that covers the town."* Connecting from the snow of Route 9, Circhester is home to the Ice-Type Gym, and is a popular destination for tourists who have a taste for historic figures. Circhester is coated in marble tiles and is best known for its hot bathing springs.
	Wyndon City *"This booming metropolis was designed and developed by our very own Chairman Rose."* Due to hosting The Pokémon League, Wyndon City has become the largest growing city in Galar to date. Covered in shopping centres and houses for the middle to upperclass, Wyndon is a great destination for tourists who want a taste of the higher-end of life.

Notable Locations of Galar

}

	Wild Area The Wild Area is Galar's most known destination throughout its entire region. Being composed from different subareas such as grassy terrains, caves, lakes and mountains, the Wild Area is an extremely popular destination for Gym Challengers to train at based on the fact that it homes a variety of Pokémon all from different species and typings.
	Slumbering Weald The Slumbering Weald is a mystical forest connecting from the West exit of Postwick Town. Surrounded by wild Pokémon, fog and longing trees, the Slumbering Weald homes the resting place of Galar's Sword and Shield.
	Galar Mines There are two Mines located within the Galar region: one that connects Route 3 and Route 4, and another that connects Hulbury Town to Motostoke Outskirts. These mines are used to dig up rare items and star pieces, but they are also known to be a good spot for Pokémon training.
	Glimwood Tangle Glimwood Tangle is a dark, maze-like forest, which is filled with big luminescent mushrooms that glow brighter if touched. There is still a lot of mystery surrounding this enchanted forest, though it most commonly used as a passageway to get to Ballonlea Town's Gym Challenge.
	Macro Cosmos Now ran by Chairman Oleana following Rose's arrest, Macro Cosmos has reinstated its name as the provider of Galar as it maintains the effective running of the region. There is not much known publicly about what business happens within this tower, though they are said to be furthering the study of Dynamaxing and ensuring no harm comes to the region.
