The hail finally subsided but Ninetales has taken severe damage and was on her last legs. She couldn't get away from the confusion and staggered around. Leon chopped down on a candy and switched his Pokemon. Oberon snarled and hos fur stood up. "Bite!" Leon called out. The small pokemon lept into action and snpped its mouth at the ghpst, tying to bite it.

NINETALES HP: 95.5 (Took 27 poison dmg)

UMBREON HP: 410
DODGES: 1/2
MOVE: Bite
DMG: 88x2 = 174

"Nui, get out of the way and hit that Umbreon with another Sludge Bomb!" Haunter swiftly floated to the other side of the arena, Fantina letting herself smile and breathe a little.

Still, she didn't underestimate Leon and his pokemon, worthy challengers as they were.

Umbreon missed the attack!

Leon was at this point stress eating. The battle, the look of the gym and Fantina herself just reminded him of her so much so it was putting him off. "D-dodge it" he stuttered while he fiddles anxiously with a candy wrapper. Umbreon leaped out of the way and looked to a frazzled Leon. "Um...Iron T-tail." He said with low confidence.

Oberon was concerned for hos trainer but had to obey. He ran at haunted, tail turning to steel before spinning and slamming it into the ghost type.

Fantina's brow twitched, her concern mirroring Oberon's. It was clear Leon was in an altered state of mind, and she wondered just why would he challenge her like this.

That didn't matter now, as her Haunter was slammed against the floor with a powerful Iron Tail attack. "Nui! You okay?" The Haunter nodded, getting back up. "Very well, then! Show them your shine, ma petite étoile! Dazzling Gleam!" Nui emitted a powerful light from its body, determined to fight to the last.

Haunter took 127 damage!
Haunter used Dazzling Gleam!

Umbreon let out a cry as the dazzling gleam burnt his fur and it took a moment to fully focus his sight once more. Leon could feel his heart race, not from the thrill of battle but his anxiety shooting through the roof. He wanted to run, give up right now and not come back. "ummm, bite again!" He didn't know what to do at this point and it was all too much for him.

Oberon looked confused and uncertain, he attacked again with a bite.

Umbreon jumped out of the way, easily dodging the sludge. Leon clutched his chest and tried to control his emotions but he struggled. Why now, Why did this place bring back so many tormenting memories. He gripped his shirt, forcing out his voice. "I-Iron tail!"

Oberon nodded and ran forward before jumping up and slamming a hard tail into Haunter.

Haunter couldn't get out of the way of the Iron Tail once again, angrily floating back up. Fantina's smile eventually dissapeared, the show having turned into less of a spectacle and more of a massacre. She felt bad for the boy, so she decided to end things quickly.

Leon watched as his Umbreon slammed into Haunter only to be hit with a strong Dazzling Gleam, falling onto the ground. He couldn't win against her, she was too strong, he was weak, useless, a waste of space. Leon quickly balled both his pokemon and fled the gym, not even officially saying he forfeited.

He pushed the gym doors open harshly and bolted from sighted.
