BACKGROUND

Born in a distant region to a corrupt family, Elizabeth has been trained since birth to be a Pokémon Bounty Hunter, sworn to hunt down and capture Pokémon for profit. She was taught how to hunt silently and efficiently, as such she has come to know an array of tricks and techniques for securing her prey. Knowing no other lifestyle, Eliza was entirely committed to her craft and became devoted to her training, desiring the validation of her father, who oversaw her.

Despite her unorthodox lifestyle, Eliza was not raised without love. Liza's father showered her with affection whenever she moved forward in her training or secured an impressive bounty, but this love was conditional and would be stripped away should she ever fail. Fearing neglect or rejection from her only source of love, Eliza became desperate for her father's affection no matter what, and thus became a skilled hunter and tool for her father.

Now fully-trained, Eliza has been dispatched to the Sinnoh region to do reconnaissance for her father because connection to his affiliates has gone dark following the region-wide shut down. Without a means to ship any caught Pokémon out of the region, Eliza has been forced to lay low and put her bounties on hold until the situation concerning the region develops.

PERSONALITY

Eliza is a girl of few words, even silently commanding her Absol, who interprets her commands telepathically. She will often appear and disappear without making a sound and tries her best to avoid conversation with others, so not to leak any information about herself or her family. She conducts her work with a solemn expression and doesn't seem to exhibit empathy, but appears to show pity towards some of the Pokémon she captures.

Despite her upbringing, Eliza is not brainwashed and clearly has free-will, and as such is susceptible to the logical reasoning that her actions are wrong, but she conducts them anyway for the love of her father. If questioned on her occupation and poor moral compass Eliza will try to dodge or ignore the subject entirely, seemingly trying to run from the guilt.

Despite the intimidating appearance of the hunting rifle she carries, Eliza doesn't actually cause lethal harm to any of the Pokémon she hunts. The precision of her shots allows her to reduce the damage she does to preserve a Pokémon's condition for when it is eventually traded. While she hunts purely for her father's affection, it's undeniable that Eliza feels proud of herself whenever she secures a bounty, even if she feels a little bad for the Pokémon.
