The young trainer currently stood beside a skiddo smiling as he pet the small goat pokemon.
"Geez, Pokemon from other regions are totally amazing ! Right, Keokeo ? Hmm... ? What's wrong Keokeo"

The vulpix stared at her trainer with a frown and nodded her head towards the Krieg's farm in a slightly aggressive manner.

"Huh? I forgot about something at home? What did I forget ...OH GODS AND GODDESSES! Sol wanted to battle us!!"

The young boy entered a small panic as he realized he had completely forgotten about the older boys offer to help with training. Looking around in panick the boy gave a small gasp as he remember the skiddo beside him casually nuzzling against his hands.

"Skiddo !..Can you please give me a left back to the Krieg Farm before you go back home ?"

"Skiddo ~!"

The grass type lowered down knocking Ro up onto it's back and once the boy had a good grip with Keokeo seated in his lap the grass type instantly bolted off towards the farm and towards the main house. Once he arrived Ro lightly hopped off of the Skiddo, but loosing his footing the child tripped falling to the ground.

"itai..." Rubbing at his cheek the boy slowly sat up. "...I..I'm here !..Sorry..I almost forgot about our battle today !"

Keokeo could only give a giggle as Ro hopped down to the ground and tripped. The fox purposely made an effort to gracefully hop to the ground beside the young trainer.

"Ah, hey Ro. S'fine, I've been busy all mornin' anyway." Sol held his hand out to Ro in offer to help him up. He also looked over to Skiddo, nodding. "Thanks, Skiddo. Ya can go back to eatin' grass, if ya want." The Skiddo bleated, and went to munch on a nearby patch of grass.

"I offered since I'm supposed ta challenge the gyms n' all, but also Keokeo seems like she could use a workout too. With Van not battlin' and Shawl bein'... Shawl, I'm more than up to battle ya for practice." Sol nodded, whistling. After a moment, a small ferroseed came spinning slowly but surely, threatening to topple over. However, Sol had the most proud look on his face. "Y'almost got it, lil' girl!" Then he looked back at Ro. "See, Kriem's shell finally finished hardenin', so I'm thinkin' that maybe she n' Keokeo could spar. What do ya say?"

The younger trainer happily accepted the offer for help off of the ground from Sol. Listening and nodding as he explained giving a nervous laugh as he pointed out he had been busy all morning. Watching as Sol gave a whistle the boy couldn't contain his own happy gasp upon seeing lil Kriem slowly spinning her way over. He had a bright smile on his face and you could almost see the sparkles of excitement. Though this also made the child accidentally ignore Sol as he blinked and tuned back in as he heard the word spar.

"Keokeo spar with Kriem ..? Keokeo and me have been together for a while, but this will be our first battle together...It sounds like a good idea, but don't expect too much... Keokeo and me tend to have different methods of doing things.." Admitted Ro nervously.

"Is that so? Hm. Well, Keokeo does seem to be pretty strongminded, it's true." Sol smiled, trying to cheer up the boy. "But! I'm sure y'all will come to understand each other! I remember how hard it used ta be ta train Umbra. But that was a long while ago, so don'tcha worry too much."

While the two spoke, Kriemhild finally made her way over to the two trainers.

"Ferr!!!"

"Oh! Good job, baby!" The trainer knelt down to give the pokemon a small scritch. "Kriem, remember what I told ya? About battle. N' what we practiced?"

"Frr!"

"Good girl! See, Ro n' Keokeo are gonna help us, is that 'aight?"

"Frr!!! Frr!!" Kriemhild did a small spin on place.

"She seems cool with it too. So! Shall we start?"

The younger trainers eyes lit up at the encouragement and gave a small nod to Sol smiling. His smile only seemed to grow while watching Sol and Kriem.

"What do you think Keokeo..?"

The vulpix glanced towards the young ferroseed then pulled a face as she looked at Ro, but her face was near instantly shot down as she was met with Ro pulling off a pretty good impression of Baby Doll Eyes. With a sigh the vulpix hung her head down in defeat and lightly walked forward sitting down in front of Ro. Meanwhile her trainer smiled proud to have actually learned to use the fox's own trick against her. Keokeo would have to get on him about this later, or maybe she should take responsibility for this one...

Sol couldn't help but snort at Keokeo's reaction to her trainer's antics. It brought many, many memories of when he himself was younger.

"Well, it's decided then." Sol picked up Kriem, walking to a spot on the far opposite direction of Ro and Keokeo and placing her there, and then he himself took some steps behind the ferroseed.

"I want her to see how the whole battlin' thing is, so y'all can go first!"

Ro gave a small smile and nodded over to Sol as he placed down Kriem then he gently looked over to Keokeo.

"Okay Keokeo, Storm in !"

This earned another eyeroll, but chuckling the vulpix lightly hopped forward darting toward Kriem clearly already knowning what to do. She jumped up into the air and suddenly a cold mist drifted from her mouth as she allowed the icey mist to fly at the young ferroseed as she used Freeze Dry.

Sol watched as the mist shot out for Kriemhild, deciding not to act just yet. The attack hit her, making the small grass type shiver and tear up a bit. Sol struggled to not let his brow furrow on reflex. If he wanted to be a trainer, he had to get used to this whole thing.

"Kriem? Use rollout!"

Kriem let out a small sound of acknowledgement, laying on her side and starting to roll in Keokeo's direction as fast as she could, gaining momentum.

Ro gave a small flinch himself from seeing Kriem hurt, but he lightly shook his head. He could do this. It was gonna be okay and after the battle everyone would be okay.

"Keokeo watch out!"

Keokeo watched the approaching ferroseed and glanced back at Ro. Lowering herself down she took the attack instead of dodging like the boy had ask. Grimacing from the rock type move the fox would dramatically knock herself to the ground. Her eyes grew big and soft as she used baby doll eyes to try lowering Kriem's will to attack.
