Saoirse considers her style of clothing to be inspired by punk-alternative band fashion, enjoying a both revealing but also covered up paradox that can come from the style. She wears a black, lacy crip top with a bulky black jacket that has wine-red hems. Her pants are a dusty red rolled up to just below the knee, kept up with a white belt, and wears black boots with a short heel to them. Notable Features. She enjoys wearing unconventional colors of lipsticks, mainly choosing a dark purple shade. For both ears, she wears a clear BTE (behind-the-ear) hearing aid, having been born with moderate-severe hearing loss. Without her aids, all sounds are muffled and incoherent. Personality. Saoirse, despite her tough, no-nonsense appearance, is actually a very charismatic and enthusiastic individual. She relies heavily on her own impulses, making rash and quick decisions on a whim and is intent on following them through unless she feels otherwise. This can sometimes get her into trouble, both with others and herself, often coming off as stubborn and acting as if it's her way or the highway. As such, it is tough to tie her down and make her listen to reason, but should it be managed, she will listen. Whether or not she complies, well, that too is dependent on a number of factors. Saoirse is also a very passionate individual, willing to do what it takes to achieve any goal within moral reason. Her cunning and ambition can be misread as in over her head and reckless, two things she can easily become. Given her aspirations, it is easy to see why, but she will need to sometimes be swayed into thinking things out before going with the first solution and strategy that comes to mind. She uses her charming and clever sense of wit to also mask any negative qualities about her, sometimes coming off as either moody and fake when her other traits take over. As such, it is easy to become friends with Saoirse, because she wants them! But, they would need to be able to deal with the constantly tipping scales that she personifies. BACKSTORY | ATTRIBUTES Backstory. Saoirse Corcoran was born in Ecruteak City, where she has been raised her entire life besides a few summer camps in Olivine City, and one year, Cherrygrove. Being in a house of just single mother and a younger sister most of her life as well, as their father had left, she took on most of the responsibilities around the house to assist her mother in making their lives a stable and well one. When she wasn't taking care of business at home, she was out taking care of her own by participating in Battle Clubs and schoolyard tournaments at home, which sometimes turned from Pokémon against Pokémon to human against human. Despite a couple of fights on her record, she was still credited as a capable battler at home and in school. Not the best, but capable enough. Her affinity toward Ghost-type Pokémon made her turn her sights onto Ecruteak Gym after graduating school. She took up an internship at the gym, learning the ropes of battling and what exactly it took to be not just a Gym Leader or challenger, but a Trainer in general. Her time at the gym gave her the ambitious idea to someday try and become the Ecruteak Gym Leader herself, but when she raised the idea of changing her position as intern into apprentice to Morty, she was shut down. Told to prove herself first, she entrusted the care of the house onto her fifteen year-old sister, Brenna, and after saying her goodbyes and ensuring a stable situation, she took a ship to Sinnoh, arriving in Canalave City's ports and travelling to Snowpoint City. Now trapped inside Sinnoh due to the closed borders and growing sense of crisis, she now is focusing entirely on proving her worth, and finding a way home amidst the growing tension in the region.
