[GYM] Dallas v. Maylene

Tugging at the bandages on her wrists, her lips pulled up into a smirk at seeing the choices Dallas had made. This was going to be an entertaining fight, whether it be from the strength of Dallas' Pokémon, from the flamboyance Dallas' exuded which meant dramatic commands, or from just the pure thrill of the fight that Maylene always just adored so much. 

Tongue to her cheek, she tapped each ball at her waist with a finger, trying to make a decision in her head as to what kind of battle she wanted this to be. She kicked an energy drink laying next to her foot as thought more and more. Should she intimidate? Be a little unfair? Or be a little reckless?

Oooh, reckless. Maylene liked the idea of recklessness. And pure, dumb luck.

Grabbing two balls, she clicked the centers with her thumbs and tossed them high into the air, with one revealing a Meditite on the field and a Croagunk by her side. Maylene laced her fingers together and cracked them, placing them behind her head as she stretched from side to side.

"Alright, kiddo! Wanna fight lil' Maylene, huh? Well, ya got a fight comin'!" she grinned with a hint of slyness behind it, taking a coin out from one of her pigtails. "I'm gonna flip this coin, a nice little game of chance to see who goes first, alright?" With that, she tossed it higher into the air than before, watching it flip before smirking mischievously toward Dallas.

"Make this one I'll remember, lil' punk!"

Maylene watched the coin reveal that she would go first with a smirk, nodding to Meditite, who in contrast to her trainer, showed a serious face. 

"Well wouldn't you know it, lil' punk! I go first." She did one last, seemingly lazy stretch, before extending her arm and calling out to Meditite. "Then give me a good show! Meditite, use Psycho Cut!" The meditite charged at Gallade, pink energy blades forming at its forearms, jumping and attempting an air strike.

Meditite took the impact of the Leaf Blade and was thrown on its side, shaking its head before getting back up and regaining its focus. Its mouth distorted ever so slightly ,knowing its attack had done much more harm than Gallade's.

"Ready, Meditite?" Maylene grinned, slightly leaning forward and putting her fist against her palm. "Use Thunderpunch!" Meditite made electricity crackle through its fists, aiming for Gallade's torso using its shorter stature.

The Gym Leader let out a daring grin as a drop of sweat ran across the right side of her face, she looked excited, it had been a while since she had a challenger this fun. She clicked her tongue before lifting her chin, indicating Meditite what to do with just a simple gesture. The Pokémon quickly understood and crossed their arms in front of their face, just in time to take in the powerful Zen Headbutt from Gallade, strugling just a bit. Her cheeks rose up as her lips curled up into a smile, rapidly pushing her arm forward and tightening a fist in her hand.

"We got you right where we wanted you! Meditite, Psycho Cut!" A pink glow beamed from the small Pokemon's forearms once again, giving it the necessary strength to break from the attack clash with brutal force before going for a lair of slices at point blank range.

Maylene grinned once Starmie made its appearance, feeling the stakes and the adrenaline amp up. Dallas called out Starmie's attack and Meditite glanced back at its trainer, who shook its head. Meditite nodded, getting hit full force by the Dazzling Gleam, but it still stood back up after being launched almost back to Maylene. 

"You know what to do, Meditite! Use Thunderpunch!"

Meditite nodded, running back to the field. Before getting close enough to the Starmie, it zig-zagged, trying to possibly avoid another powerful attack like the Dazzling Gleam.

The hint of a chuckle escaped Maylene's throat as she watched Starmie side-step Meditite, rubbing her jaw as Starmie powered up a Hydro Pump. There was plenty things she could do, glancing at Meditite who was struggling a bit to keep upright. Glancing to Starmie again, she saw how the Pokémon was charging up what seemed to be a serious blast.

Removing her hand from her face and place it on her hip, she called out her command with a smirk. "Meditite, side-step just like that lil' star did!"

Meditite, as soon as Hydro Pump was unleashed, dodged to the left and glanced to Maylene, waiting for an attack call. Maylene chewed her lip, here heel tapping before smirking more and nodding to herself. Sometimes, you just gamble your way through it all.

"Force Palm!"

Meditite's hand radiated with a glowing energy, charging toward Starmie and shoving their hand hard against them.

Meditite used Force Palm. Starmie's resistance to Fighting-types halves the damage.
