Aurora is a fan of lighter attire like skirts and dresses as they make her feel the most free and remind her of the typical Sky Trainer suits. On especially windy days she feels as though she could take flight from the flapping of her dress, often comparing them to the wings of a Flying-Type. In the colder climate she can be seen wearing a short, lavender cashmere coat with grey wool cuffs, black leggings and boots; the outfit is topped off with her favorite white scarf and earmuffs. Unlike most trainers, Aurora keeps her PokéBalls attached to a charm bracelet around her wrist. Notable Features. Her most notable features are her sky blue hair and purple eyes that are signature to her mother's side of the family. Personality. Aurora is very bubbly and is always eager to make a new friend. Rory could be considered a "glass-half-full" type of person, as always sees the bright side of any situation making her quite optimistic. She's fearless unless to comes to water or being confined to a cage. Aurora is very upbeat and energetic to the point of restlessness. She has to always be on the move and has a tendency to get ahead of others, particularly due to her excitement and thirst for exploration. This can sometimes cause her to grow impatient with those that can't keep up or choose to take their time, but she knows that there are a time and place. Rory is rather empathic and can pick up the emotions of others rather easily. This often leads to her trying to make them feel better or prodding to see what's affecting them even if they may want to be left alone; a habit that she has yet to break. She enjoys joking around and making others laugh. Aurora is fiercely loyal to her family and friends and will protect them to the best of her ability. She's headstrong and dislikes hypocrites, but when she wants something she'll go after it. Rory's almost never serious unless faced with danger in the form of a bully or injustice. She can be rather hotheaded when someone sets her off or when faced with an obstacle, although her stubborn personality tends to prevail. Either way, you'll never know what Aurora is going to do next. BACKSTORY | ATTRIBUTES Backstory. Aurora grew up in Fortree City in the Hoenn Region as the daughter of two pilots. She spent her life her childhood strapped into the cockpit of airplanes alongside her parents; her parents joked that she spent more time in the air than with her feet on the ground. Rory lived atop the trees her whole life, the closest should could be to the sky -- but it wasn't enough. As Aurora grew older she spent as much time flying as possible, she loved being taken for trips in her family's airplane so that she could feel like she was flying. When she wasn't flying she spent her time daydreaming that she was soaring the skies amongst flocks of Flying-Type Pokémon like Swablu and Taillow. She never bothered to fit in with the other kids, because she never felt like she belonged. Her place was in the sky amongst the clouds, not on the ground with people. Aurora got her first taste of a future when she attended the Fortree City Feather Carnival full of high-flying rides including one atop Winona's Skarmory. That was the first time she flew on a Pokémon before and it was absolutely exhilarating. After seeing Winona and Skarmory perform at the Carnival's grand finale, a flying formation display, Aurora knew she wanted to do that for the rest of her life. When Aurora wasn't in her parents' plane, she was at Winona's gym watching her soar the skies with students of her Sky Academy. The Gym Leader developed an interest in Rory as she saw herself in the young girl. Although Aurora was far too young to enroll in the academy Winona took the girl under her wing and allowed her to attend class. She was the youngest person to ever graduate from the academy, and at the top of her class. Viewing Aurora as her potential future successor, Winona informed her of the Pokémon Association's search for talented young individuals to be the future Gym Leaders of the world. Viewing this as the first step to a life among the clouds Aurora traveled to the Sinnoh region to partake in the tournament and prove to Winona that she is capable of being her successor. Her dream is to eventually take over the Fortree City Gym where she can hold sky battles so that she can forever be free and fly with her Pokémon as the Queen of the Clouds. Likes. Flying. Candy.
