" VOODOO " | AZURE ACADEMY, SINNOH REGON

A cold, crisp exhale escaped Violet's lips as she leaned her back against the wooden door to shut it behind her. She threw her arms down lazily which caused the teddybear jacket, and by extension, the rucksack upon her back to slide down her body and hit the base of her feet, before she pushed her hands up against the doorframe for balance so she could further shuffle into the room. Her entire posture was sluggish; she was clearly exhausted, and her puffy eyes that could barely stay open made that even more apparent. It's not that she had a busy day - all she had to do was collect ice cream with Naomi - but being sociable and venturing through the brittle winds of the mountains for hours had taken its toll on Violet and drained her of her energy.

With a loud groan rumbling from her throat, she collapsed down onto the bed like a corpse, causing a gust of wind to push a few loose pages on her desk against one another from the impact. She laid still for a few moments and took in the warmth of her bedroom, and she took the second to thank her past self for leaving the radiator on before she left this morning.

Eventually, Violet pushed her hands up from her sides and to her head.. or so she tried to. Instead, an object that felt as hard as yarn brushed against her hand, causing her eyes widened. Violet quickly raised her face from the pillow and she stretched her neck to glance over her shoulder. Her eyebrows knitted tightly together; she hesitated.

... It was the voodoo doll.

Violet's face scrunched up with both riddle and confusion written all over it. Her eyes flickered down to the bag that sat promptly with her jacket by the door; the same bag that the doll was supposed to be in. She narrowly tilted her head and allowed a faint breath of scepticism to escape her lips. Were her eyes deceiving her? Was she imagining things? She was exhausted, after all, but a narrow side-eye directly to the doll that laid by her side confirmed that this was, in fact, all real.

Violet's eyes widened whilst she flung herself back to the edge of her bed, and her breath paced into a brisk manner as she ran her hands along the thighs that she now sat on. "How did--" She exhaled whilst holding a slight finger out to the doll. "But you were--" Her expression turned into a frown; what the hell as going on!?

Violet examined the doll with her still eyes to try and note any sudden movement, but even after a while of utter silence, there was nothing. Now her actions were more hesitant than quick, but she reached her hand out to take the doll in grasp. A chilling feeling ran from the bone on her neck and all the way down her spine, causing her to shiver delicately. ".. What.. are you?" She wondered aloud, clearly desperate to puzzle the pieces together. A few thoughts tracked through her mind, though the only one that repeated was more of a question, than an answer. Was Camilla right? Did the witches from the nightmare at camp purposely leave this doll with her? If so, why? What was the reason? What was it for?

From the continued silence other than the girls sharp breath, a sudden aura of dark purple energy swarmed from inside the doll and consumed its entire being. Violet let out a loud, inhaling gasp and threw the doll down onto the bed as she jolted up onto the floor, stumbling in her movements. The energy that came from the core of the hexed figure leaked onto the sheets of the bed like a pool of blood seeping from a wound. Violet looked panicked; her jaw was mounted open and her eyes were shaking; barely blinking. The dark aura shaped, shifted and warped in its place for several moments and quietly forged a slurping noise before, out of the brink, it began to manifest into a figure; a shadow -- no, a.. a being. "Miss..!" It cried out as the last of the energy from the doll moved up into the new found Pokémon.

Violet.. blinked. She was speechless. Her jaw finally closed up and her lips pressed together once more. She gulped.

The Pokémon looked as though it was a levitating, ragged cloth with bright yellow eyes. The bottom of its "body" rippled gently with its movements, though its beaming eyes stayed glued on Violet. Suddenly, it glided over to her with a faint, echoed giggle.

Violet attempted to step back, but the Pokémon brushed up against her neck, causing her to retract her face with a frown. "Misdreavus!" It cried out again whilst it glided from Violet's side and around her room, and then halted at her desk. The desk was neatly scattered with books, pens and pages of studies, but there was one thing that caught the Pokémon's eyes: an empty, shining Pokéball. Misdreavus let out another faint giggle before booping its face against the small white button at the center of the ball, causing it to burst open and reveal a red laser light. The light enriched the Pokémon's figure before quickly sucking the Misdreavus into the capsule and closing on within itself."H-hey! No, wait--!" Violet exclaimed, but it was too late!

Misdreavus was caught!
