Personal Scene: One Foot In!
Description: Kalua arrives in the Sinnoh Region.

"Argh, I'm so excited - I can't wait any longer!" Exclaimed Kalua as he clenched his tightened palms around the rails of the top deck. His eyes flashed whilst watching the sea salt waves crash against the docks of Pastoria City, and once it declared them boarded, he leaped from the rails and pattered through the brisk winds, only to land with a grunt on the wooden dock foot.

"Whew!" He exhaled with relief as he brushed his hair from his face and grinned. "Come oooon, Snivy - I can barely contain myself!" Shouted Kalua whilst glancing back up to the S.S Anne, which revealed a small serpent-like Pokémon glaring at him from above. She looked unimpressed by her Trainers reckless stunts, so with her arms folded and a sigh escaping her mouth, she swayed down the stairs to exit the ship like a normal person (or, Pokémon) would.

Snivy eventually made her way down to Kalua who was seemingly struggling to contain the overwhelming excitement within, which led him to clench his fists. "Gah! I can't wait any longer - what shall we do first!?" He beamed with widened eyes that looked down to the small green serpent, though she simply exhaled a breath with the hitting realisation that she was in this for the long run. "Heeey, don't be like that, Snivy - this is exciting stuff! There's so much to do, so much to learn, and so much to--! H-hey, is that a Pokémon!?" Kalua latched onto his Pokémon's arm as he hissed out his words from sheer excitement, though before she could even react, Snivy's tail waved manically through the air as her Trainer sprinted towards the other end of the dock to chase after something he had just seen.

"Sniiiii!" Cried out Snivy as the duo came to a skidding halt, which made her to twist up her snout at Kalua in dismay. Kalua soon released her arm, though, but his full attention was focused on the glistening water before them. "I.. I swear I just saw something glowing - like, like it came from the water, and it --!" Kalua's sentence was quickly cut short when a loud gasp escaped his lips.

And there it was!

As it twirled its gleaming body from the water once again, Kalua could've sworn to have seen the fish-like Pokémon smirk at him, which made it all a good enough excuse to start his goal right here, right now - and what better way to do that than with a successful capture! "Rotomdex, quick - I need your assistance!"

As if on queue, a floating red screen shot out of Kalua's backpack and zapped into the air before him. "Zccht, zccht! Scanning.. scanning.. scanning.. DETECTED! Finneon, the Wing Fish Pokémon. Finneon absorb sunlight with the pink spots on its skin which then shine and glow. They are popular amongst divers as they make for a good light!"

Kalua's face frowned into a determined demeanour as his eyes fell back onto Finneon. He smirked. "Alright, Finneon, you're the first Pokémon I've seen since arriving in the Sinnoh region, so let's make this one count!" He shouted and reached into his bag to withdraw a red-and-white orb. "Pokéball, go!" He grunted as he threw the ball towards the Finneon that was only seconds from diving back down to the ocean floor - but it just managed to hit! Upon contact, the Pokéball burst open and revealed a blue light that swallowed Finneon whole, leaving its faint shocked cry to fall abruptly short. Then, as the ball shut, it fell onto the bed of the ocean waves and began to shake..

One..

Two..

Three..

Captured!

. . .

There was silence for a moment.

. . .

"We.. WE DID IT!" Yelled Kalua as he grabbed onto Snivy and twirled her in the sky. "We just caught our first Pokémon!"
