Vander vs Dallas - Reigniting a Battle Heart!

The comments and annoyance coming off from Dallas caused the blonde to flinch, making him instinctively clench his fists in frustration. Once again, he was right... Which made Vander hesitate a bit more on whether the battle was a good idea or not. He glanced at his brother who was playing referee and was greeted by a confident and reassuring smile with a nod. Vander took a few seconds to refocus and reply back with a nod, he sent a glare to Dallas and crossed his arms right before barking out. "Right... I shouldn't be struggling like this..." His eye twitched a bit at the disrespect, getting upset the more his opponent spent time not payng him attention. "Lift that stupid head of yours and pay attention, this will be the last time I'm going to go easy on you!" A drop of sweat fell off his cheek as he spoke, he still wasn't entirely sure of himself or that defiant attitude, but he decided his actions to be the ones judged and not his words. "Finish him off, Flamethrower." Lloyd shook his head after the impact, Vander's tone and actual worry resonated inside him and made him look back with a serious expression at his opponent, letting out a massive stream of fire against Drapion once he got steady and going.

Vander smiled when he saw Drapion fall against his wounds, nodding at their first victory. "Good job Lloyd! Let's keep it up!" The Growlithe barked up proudly but ended up coughing several times due to the poison, his trainer squinted and fixed up his nose with his thumb as he regained his serious expression, it was one win but there were still two more Pokemon that needed to be defeated, Lloyd already looked like he needed a break from all the fighting he had been doing. The blonde lifted an eyebrow when he saw the Gallade being summoned, he had seen it fight before back in the Battle Club but that was way different from actually fighting it. He noded as a way to reassure himself and fixed his battle stance as he focused on his opponent. "Alright, we can do this! Dash off and land a Cr-"

"Zen Headbutt."

Both Vander and Lloyd had frozen in time when their opponent suddenly lunged off towards them in the blink of an eye, hitting the Growlithe hard on his own head and sending it almost towards his trainer. "What the-! Lloyd!!! Can you get up?!" The dog struggled with shaky legs to get up from the ground, Vander suddenly realized that his Pokemon had been flinched from the impact and paled.

Vander screamed when Lloyd got hit once again, the dog barely able to hold himself together after such massive attacks. "Are you alright?! Hold yourself together!" The Growlithe growled to Gallade, defiantly standing as best as it could against his opponent before barking out once again. Vander growled as well, passing his arm by his mouth. "We got one last shot, Crunch!!"

Lloyd launched himself back towards Gallade as he bared his fangs towards him, Vander knew that it would cause neutral damage, enough to at least dent the powerful Pokemon, healing wasn't an option anymore as the damage could be probably mitigated in Dallas' next play. That didn't stop the blonde from believing, however, even if he kept denying how much advanatge he had over his opponent, he still believed it was no reason to remain comfortable about it.

Anxiety can really cripple the best of souls.

"Lloyd!!" Vander screamed out as he saw Lloyd fall to the ground, finally knocked out after battling for so long. He bit his lower lip and pulled out a Poke Ball, returning his friend back inside. "You did good pal..." He picked up his second ball and pressed the button, throwing it swiftly once again towards the field.

"Pika owo!!"

A Pikachu popped out from the flash of light beaming with energy and power, but crinegd when he stepped on the Toxic Spikes, already feeling a powerful fever rise inside of him. "Sorry Montblanc, you are going to have to deal with Toxic! Let's make it work... Discharge!!!" Montblanc shook his head and focused, sparking up his cheeks to generate dangerous levels of electricity, he rushed in towards Gallade and unleashed a massive stream of violent lightning across the field.

Vander let out a cry of excitement after he saw Gallade get on his knees, barely realizing he had gotten a bit more excited as the battle passed. He smiled a bit while sweat kept passing by his face from the stress, it was hard for him to keep up but admittedly... He did look like he was enjoying it very much, despite the anxiety fo coming back to battling just like that. He shut down the negative thoughts and let his body loose a bit in an effort to relax and just have fun, and giggled a bit at Dallas' struggle. "What's wrong? Shocked?"

He let out a cocky grin and leaned forward, excited when Gallade dashed off, still at incredible speed. "Quickly! Block with Iron Tail!"

Montblanc roared and dashed off as well, struggling a bit from the Toxic fever going on inside his body. But the Gallade was much more faster, suddenly hitting up the Pikachu mercileslly with the powerful Zen Headbutt. Montblanc landed back on the ground, shaking as he slowly got back up, Vander managed to realize that he got flinched, rendering him unable to attack.

Vander flinched at the continuous attacks coming off Dallas' Gallade, almost steping back once from the impact. "Come on, we can do this Montblanc!" He stepped forward instead, watching how the powerful Focus Blast reached his Pokemon and made him let out a piercing cry. The Pikachu could barely stand up from the onslaught of attacks, shaking his head before sparking up his cheeks in defiance against the Gallade. "That's it! You took it like a champ! Iron Tail, full force!"

Montblanc once again ironed out his tail and dashed off towards his opponent, jumping at the last second and spinning at full strength to increase the damage output of his attack.

Vander stomped the ground as he got more and more excited for the battle, seemingly recovering his drive after so much hesitation and doubt. He screamed out of the top of his lungs and pushed his arm forward while clenching his fist. "KEEP AT IT!" Montblanc kept his tail ironed out and shining to continue slicing and dicing against the onslaught coming off from Gallade's Leaf Blades. The sound of metal and energy drowning the surroundings with a continuous and steady rhythm, but Vander's Pokedex soon flashed an alarm warning as it's screen showed his Pokemon reaching critical condition, causing him to frown and sweat a bit more.

The trainer shook his head and called out his Pokemon, who suddenly jumped off to safety and sprung around to gain some distance, it was already noticeable that Montblanc was on the verge of utter exhaustion. An idea suddenly popped off from Vander, causing him to smirk confidently and wait for the exact moment. "Rush forward again, spark up your cheeks and make sure you don't get hit!

"Piikaa!!! òmó;;!!" The Pikachu dashed off once again towards his opponent, letting out bits of electricity from his cheek pouches as he ran in zig-zag and dodged the Leaf Blades.


"Don't let it fool you, finish him off! ZEN HEADBUTT!"

Vander grinned out, seeing how much electricity had accumulated his Pokemon. "NOW!!! VOLT TACKLE!!!!!"

Montblanc suddenly surrounded himself in a veil made by destructive, erratic electricity. Sparks and lightning cracked aroudn the earth below him, blackening in instants from the sheer power behind it. The Pikachu had already gathered enough momentum to jump and in a flash, resembled a ray of thunder that crashed against the Gallade's similarly powerful psychic attack.
