Buizel looked a bit disappointed that the Frolass switched out but now she had to focus. The scald hit Miltank but the burst was quickly shook off by they heal bell. "I SEE WHAT YA DOING, TAG TEAMING HUH?! WELL BUIZEL, USE ICE PUNCH!"
Buizel punched her hands together before one covered itself in ice, she charged towards miltank and smacked her right in the jaw.

Bryony swallowed, and a little nervously. This was becoming an increasingly high stakes situation, and she felt sweat bead on her temples. Wiping it away, she cleared her throat and whistled at Miltank, who rolled out of the way of the impending Ice Punch, making Buizel miss.

"Milk Drink!"

Miltank turned around, taking a moment before turning back toward Buizel and chugging down the bottle of milk that seemed to have appeared out of thin air, making a happy sound as she felt some energy surge back into her.

Buizel's attack missed! Took 0 damage.
Miltank used Milk Drink! Restores 40% of current HP.

Buizel's Aqua Tail is DISABLED for 2 more turns due to Froslass' Cursed Body.

Wake clicked his tongue and folded his arms, he expected a quick sweep of this girl's team but she was a tough nut to crack. He looked to Buizel who couldn't use aqua tail anymore. "LETS GO WITH SCALD AGAIN, WE'LL KNOCK THAT MILTANK OUT NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES SHE HEALS!"

Buizel let out a cry and reared back before spraying Be-be again with the hot water.

Bryony winced at Wake's shouting, but kept strong in still refusing to let it bother her. Instead, she watched as Scald missed her target again and flew past Miltank. Taking a breath, she squeezed her own hips a bit as she called out her next command, hoping that it would land.

"Be-Be, Thunder."

Miltank raised her arms up and summoned a dark cloud over Buizel's head, thunder rumbling before a lightning strike struck down.

Buizel's attack missed! Took 0 damage.
Miltank used Thunder!
Damage if hit: 137 x 2 = 274
Bonus effect: 30% chance of paralyzing opponent.

Buizel's Aqua Tail is DISABLED for 1 more turn due to Froslass' Cursed Body.

The battle went on and on and Wake was starting to lose his voice from shouting for so long. He saw a cloud form and watched his pokemon avoid it by diving down into the water once more. "Okay lets go with another ice punch!"

Buizel zipped through the water before jumping out with an icy uppercut

Bryony clicked her tongue in annoyance as Thunder once again missed the mark, now crossing her arms as if hugging herself. All the ice moves were beginning to create a chill, and it only furthered as she saw Ice Punch be called out.

"Switch with Ro, Be-Be!"

Miltank and Froslass did their switching out routine, with Froslass twirling onto the field and being hit by the Ice Punch. However, given her Ice-typing, the harsh hit was halved out, causing far less damage than usually. A frostbite threatened to take over Froslass, but once again, her typing nulled it, and she was safe from the effect.

Bryony let out a small breath as she saw the results of her call, taking a split second to call out her next. "Draining Kiss!"

Froslass once again twirled down to Buizel, pecking the small Water-type on the cheek.

Miltank was switched out for Froslass! Took 74 damage due to being resistant to Ice-type moves.
Froslass used Draining Kiss!
Damage if hit: 77
HP restored, if hit: 57.6

Buizel's Aqua Tail is now ENABLED.

Froslass' Ability, Cursed Body, activated! 30% chance of disabling Ice Punch.

Another tag out and Frolass took the chilling hit that would have been for Be-Be. Wake shook his head and chuckled, impressed Bryony was so quick on her feet and calling out commands to block or reduce as much damage as she could. "YOU GOT SOME SKILL BRYONY, BUT THIS AINT OVER. AQUA TAIL!!!"

Buizel once again took a sweet kiss on the cheek but she had a job first. Dipper her tail in the water, Buizel did a 360 turn against Frolass with aqua tail.

Bryony smiled a little at Wake's compliment, feeling a little confidence return to her. She nodded, simply responding with a "thank you" so as to not seem cocky or arrogant. However, she added soon after.

"You're proving to be as tough as they say."

Smiling a little more, she watched as the battle continued and Aqua Tail was used, whistling at Froslass. Froslass twirled downward to avoid the Aqua Tail, any droplets of water that touched her turning to ice on her body. Floating back up, she smirked at Buizel and even added a wink, a little extra surprise for those past Draining Kiss moves.

"Thunder, Ro!"

Froslass raised her "arms" and created a dark storm cloud, thunder rumbling and echoing off the walls as lightning struck itself down on Buizel.

Buizel's attack missed! Took 0 damage.
Froslass used Thunder!

Buizel looked up at the sky and then to its trainer, who had a bead of sweat roll down his face at the adrenaline of the match. "Dodge it, Buizel!" The audience gasped once Wake stopped yelling, noticing the shift in demeanor of the Gym Leader to something more serious. Little did they know that it was not only out of respect for Bryony, but he would seriously catch something if he didn't stop.

"Go for a Scald, now!" His characteristic grin came back once Buizel escaped from the Thunder attack and submerged into the water, popping out after a few seconds to shoot a stream of boiling hot water.

Buizel took 0 damage!
Buizel used Scald!

Bryony breathed in through her teeth at the dodge, making a small hiss of annoyance. It would have struck, she knew it in her soul. Regardless, what was done was done, and Froslass was given a Scald attack in return.

Frolass made a soft noise in protest, disliking the heat of the attack but at least glad it wasn't a fire move, and that she wasn't burned. Already guessing Bryony's move she already began to twirl down toward Buizel, only waiting on the confirmation.

"Draining Kiss!"

Froslass pecked the Buizel like she had twice over, adding a wink to further distract the Pokémon as she drained some health.

Froslass was hit by Scald! Took 117 damage.

As Froslass's Draining Kiss attack landed, Buizel turned red and pawed her away, making Wake chuckle. "Now Buizel, don't let her Cute Charm get to you! We have a battle to win." Buizel nodded to her trainer, determined.

"Use Aqua Tail!" Buizel coated her tail in water, getting up in Froslass's face to slam her, cutely sticking out her tongue.

Bryony allowed herself a chuckle as well, Buizel's flustered behavior just too cute to ignore. Froslass herself even chuckled before getting serious when her opponent did. She tried leaning back, but she was still caught by Buizel's Aqua Tail, wincing at the impact.

Bryony, however, wasted no timing in calling out her next move. "Thunder!"

Froslass happily obliged, repeating her previous summoning motion, a dark cloud forming above and rumbling with Thunder before sending a lightning strike down on Buizel.

Froslass was hit by Aqua Tail! Took 117 damage.

The sky boomed as Froslass summoned her Thunder. It made the water ripple and the crowd hold their breaths as the lightningbolt crashed down, hitting Buizel point blank. The poor water type let out a cry, even forcing Wake to cover his eyes from the bright light. "Buizel!"

The tension after the attack ended was palpable. The crowd was about to burst as Buizel tried to get up again... only to flop down in defeat.

Buizel took 401 damage!
Buizel fainted!

The second Buizel was down the crowd watching the battle erupted into a roar. That was a formidable battle from both sides, but soon, they were cheering for someone that wasn't the Pastoria Gym Leader.

"Bryony! Bryony! Bryony!"

Wake sighed, but smiled still, returning the fainted Buizel to her pokeball. "You did great, little girl." Then he stepped over to the other side of the Arena, holding a TM and the Fen Badge. "Bryony! Congratulations on defeating me. I took you way too lightly. You showed this old man not to underestimate his opponent again!" The wrestler laughed jovially, moved by the battle.

"Here are your prizes. This is the TM55, Scald, and the Fen Badge. You'll be awarded 15BP too, so be on the lookout for those in your account!" Wake grinned, waving to the people watching the battle. "I think you got a couple fans now, girlie!"

Bryony defeated Crasher Wake and earned the Fen Badge!

Bryony was stunned.

It was almost as if she had been hit with the Thunder attack, paralyzed in her spot as she watched Buizel go down and the battle officially end. It wasn't until she remembered that Wake didn't have another Pokémon to battle with that she realized she had won. She leaned over, resting her hands on her knees and released a shaky breath. It was actually over. And she had won? She? She won?

As Wake approached her, she straightened back up, glancing at the spectators with an awkward smile. She never had someone cheer her name before, so the gesture was a little strange and unusual, but she didn't want to seem unappreciative.

Wake's congratulations and compliment made her smile turn a little more genuine, nodding. "Thank you."

Realizing how short that was, she stumbled into another response. "Y-You, uh, really had me on toes too, by the way. A lot tougher than I gave you credit for. Which I won't do again, you can count on that." she chuckled.

At the mention of fans, she felt her face flush and she looked toward the spectators, noticing one or two who waved at her. Giving a small wave back, she snorted a bit as their own waves turned more hectic, looking back to Wake.

"I think we both learned a few things today."
