Houndoom breathed harshly out his nose seeing Trapinch get hit in the back of the head with one, singular rock. Bryony glanced in the dog Pokémon's way, trying to tell him through just her gaze not to "laugh", but even she bit her tongue to prevent a chuckle from getting out.
At the hit, Trapinch stopped mid bite, not even clenching down before turning back to see what was from behind, suddenly skittering everywhere to find the cause.
"N-No, Axel, it was Corsola," Bryony explained, covering her mouth with the back of her hand as she finally let out the chuckle. "Turn back around and use Feint Attack."
Trapinch stopped where he was from a second, completely still as if processing and loading the information into himself, before abruptly turning and rushing at Corsola, dark energy emitting from him as he tried to tackle her.

Corsola exclaimed in surprise from the Feint Attack and skidded backwards from the impact, shaking herself afterwards to regain her senses. So the Trapinch wasn’t all fun and games. Taemin pondered his next step: should he actually make this a full blown battle? Then again, even if this was for training, his Corsola still had a massive type advantage over Trapinch, so it’d be good to keep the training session going as long as they could.
“Ji-Hae,” Taemin said after a few moments, “You’re okay, right? Try a Spike Cannon.”
His Corsola nodded and hopped once, making spikes form as she landed onto the ground once more and shot them towards the Trapinch in an erratic frenzy.

Trapinch skittered back after the impact he made with Feint Attack, only to be thrown up into the air by the dull spikes of Corsola's attacks. He landed on his back, and he couldn't help but make croaky noises as his legs wiggled helplessly.
Stuck upside down on his back.
Bryony watched in a mixture of surprise, confusion, and general awkwardness, trying to consider what move would get him out of the rut. Bite wouldn't work because he would just snap endlessly at the air, and she had already used Feint Attack just now. Perhaps...
"Axel, use Bulldoze to your advantage."
Trapinch looked at Bryony from his position and wiggled around, confused on how to do the move.
"But Bite first."
Bryony could almost see the imaginary "!" that appeared over Trapinch, watching as he leaned his head back and bit the ground, flinging himself with a small slip back onto his legs. Then, digging his head into the dirt, he skittered toward Corsola with an ever-growing amount of dirt to slam into Corsola's side.

“Oh. Huh. Shit.” Taemin stated as Trapinch maneuvered himself and bulldozed towards Corsola, who took a defensive stance. May as well start the actual water resistance training now, right?
“Counter it. Liquidation.”
Corsola chirped as her body became engulfed with high pressure water and shot herself towards Trapinch to meet him in the middle, slamming herself against him. Right as she made impact, Taemin spoke once more to give another command.
“Spike Cannon.”
A cry escaped the coral Pokemon as spikes shot up from the ground underneath Trapinch this time, sending him a few feet upwards. Taemin smiled, coming to a realization that he forgot his Pokemon’s battle spirit. He had been neglecting it for a while, so this was definitely a good time to start up training for his team as well.

Her own imaginary "!" popped over her head as Corsola countered the Bulldoze and caused Trapinch to go flying into the air with Spike Cannon. Bryony found herself temporarily stunned by the combination, looking at Taemin with a slight tilt of her head. She always underestimated his battling ability due to his lax and indifferent nature, and it wasn't until she saw him battling did she see the skill he had.
And she kind of was, admittedly, a little jealous at how casually he made battle decisions.
"Axel," she began as soon as Trapinch landed back on the ground, shaking off the dizziness from the collision. "Go in with Feint Attack."
Axel radiated dark energy again, skittering to one side before jiving to the other, going for her side.
"Bite instead!"
Axel's energy suddenly shifted to his jaw, clenching down on one of Corsola's protruding spikes with a cry.
Corsola cried out from the Bite, not expecting the sudden change of attack and stumbled dizzily. Taemin couldn’t help but snort when he saw Corsola look back at him with an obvious, dramatic pout as if to question how he could do this to her.
“드라마 여왕…” Taemin snickered as Corsola huffed from his response.
“Shake it off. Use this to your advantage. Jump, and then use Liquidation again.”
Corsola’s body became engulfed in water once more as she leapt into the air with Trapinch’s jaw clinging onto her, trapping him within the high pressure.
“내려와.”
“Cor!” Using the jets of water, Corsola then twisted her body to have Trapinch facing the ground as she slammed her body against the battlefield with the Ground Type cushioning her fall. Taemin almost winced from the method; perhaps it was a bit overboard, but he supposed it was too late to take it back now. He didn't have any doubt that Bryony would return the favor to him tenfold somehow.

Bryony flinched at the impact of Corsola landing on Trapinch, looking at Taemin with a confused glint in her eye when he used his first language. That was the real advantage here; he could give commands in Korean and she would know none the better as to what it was. It was almost a little foul, but she also found it to be an incredibly creative strategy.
If he even was meaning to use it as strategy.
Seeing the Corsola was atop of Trapinch, she quickly called out her next command as an idea came to her mind.
"Mud-Slap her up, Axel," she called, watching as muddy water engulfed the Pokémon and with a buck of his back, sent Corsola back up into the air. She smirked a little at the sight, looking to Taemin as she called her next move.
"Bulldoze her."
Trapinch followed Corsola up into the air with a hop, jumping higher and slamming down with her into the ground, pushing her against the ground a few feet to properly use the Bulldoze move.
There it was. Corsola winced from the attacks and coughed from the impact of the Bulldoze in particular. Not to mention she was covered in mucky grime now, which made her cringe. Taemin raised a brow from Bryony’s pointed look, though he probably deserved it with the choice of attack. He smiled back at Bryony afterwards and called out to his starter.
“You wanna stop, Ji-Hae?” A cry of protest answered him and he snorted. “Alright, great.”
He gave Bryony a lax smile, but his eyes had a sly glint in them. Taemin wasn’t quite aware of it, but his competitive spirit was rising. Which was strange, cause it only ever did when he was swimming. Perhaps she had that effect on him somehow, especially with how she directly faced him with the command of Bulldoze.
“Recover.”
Corsola’s body shimmered with a faint glow as she recovered some health, sighing in relief from the dulling of pain. She dug herself against the ground to resist against the Bulldoze, the rocks rumbling near her.
“Ancient Power. Then dunk ‘em.”
Pebbles and rocks were flung against the Trapinch, sending him flying back from the hit. While he was in the air, Corsola surrounded herself with water once more and shot herself towards the Ground Type, flying past the outlying rocks and tackling Axel to the ground with the water digging against him.

Bryony's smirked widened into a smile as she saw Taemin's competitive side start to show, raising a brow at the lax smile that he returned to her as she saw the slyness behind it. And it wasn't until she registered what his commands to Corsola that her face cracked and she stared at the Pokémon.
Fully shocked.
Corsola using Refresh made Bryony's strategy screech to a halt, having forgotten that the Pokémon had the capability to heal itself. She bit her cheek realizing that it brought a bigger rift in advantage for Taemin, and further winced at the Ancient Power move and slam.
Shifting her weight, she leaned a bit to see what Trapinch was looking like before she made her next call, breathing out her nose when he saw him look disoriented. She knew that his strength was depleting and that he was losing this, no matter what. Type advantage and a healing move? Plus, a good number of notches in the strength was a difference between the two Pokémon.
So, she decided, she might as well lose with a bang.
"Axel, Feint Attack."
Trapinch shook his head and skittered around to regain his senses before using the skittering to suddenly slam into Corsola again.
"Bite."
Trapinch clenched his jaw around one of Corsola's leg, looking to Bryony to see if she had anything next.
"Now Mud-Slap and Bulldoze her."
Trapinch vibrated at the command, getting excited to suddenly be using all his capabilities at once before dowsing Corsola with more mud, slinging her into the ground and hoppinh into the air to spiral down on top of Corsola.
She looked at Taemin again with her own sly look, shrugging a bit and gesturing to the battle. She knew he would unleash an attack to make Trapinch unable to battle after, especially after using all four of her moves in one swift combo. But she needed to do so, and besides, she wanted to see what exactly he could come up with himself.
Taemin blinked from the flurry of attacks. He knew that she could be a ruthless battler at times, but damn. This really took the cake so far, even if he was winning. He chuckled from the thought and nodded. He did feel guilty towards Corsola with the onslaught of brutality, especially since she had just come out of a life-threatening battle in the woods. But she seemed to be extremely hyped up on adrenaline despite that fact, so.
Guess he had to use that to his advantage.
“With everything you’ve got, huh?” Taemin hummed in thought as he tilted his head, debating if this was a good idea or not. Oh well. An eye for an eye, or however the saying goes, right?
“Recover.” Corsola’s body glimmered with a faint glow as she recovered her health once more, chirping from the ease of pain, even with the Trapinch’s body on top of her.
“잡아.” The coral Pokemon copied Trapinch and bit down on his leg, gripping onto it tightly. “위로 가. Liquidation.”
Just as before, she trapped herself and Trapinch in a body of water and shot herself upwards, cutting him with the pressure of the water as it swirled around them both. She kept her tight grip on him, her Hustle ability boosting the strength of the water.
“Spike and rock him.”
Corsola twisted her body to spin at a high velocity, letting Trapinch go after a few moments and flinging him towards the ground before she let out a loud cry as dull spikes and rocks followed him, slamming against him just as he crashed against the ground in an onslaught. Taemin looked directly at Bryony during all of this, his usual smile still on his face. He shrugged back at her, gesturing towards the battle just as Corsola landed back onto her feet.
"You inspired me, farmer girl." He simply said with a wink.

Bryony held eye contact with Taemin during all of Corsola's brutal rebuttals, only flinching at the last attack and landing of Trapinch against the ground. It was only when Corsola landed did she glance down at Trapinch, pursing her lips at seeing him completely disoriented and unfit to continue the fight.
Looking back up at Taemin she raised a brow at the comment, nodding to herself as she called Trapinch back in with a red flash, quietly pocketing the Pokémon. In fact, much of her reaction was quiet. She quietly kicked a nearby rock, quietly cleared her throat, and, quietly approached Taemin until she was in front of him. She looked around a bit, still silent, glancing at the surroundings and the sky before looking to him with a small smirk that she couldn't contain any longer.
"My influence is overwhelming, I know." she said, a genuine, cocky grin appearing on her face as she stuck her tongue out a bit between her teeth, laughing all the while. The battle itself seemed to have effectively lifted her spirits, enough so that she was showing the more silly side to her.
As Taemin called his Corsola back into her Pokeball and clipped the sphere onto his belt, he raised a brow from her quiet behavior. It wasn’t as though it was strange for her to be as such, but he had the brief thought that perhaps he had gone overboard after all and upset her further. Before he could even open his mouth to apologize, Bryony’s playful expression came into his view and made him look at her with surprise.
Now that he thought about it, he wasn’t sure if he had ever seen that kind of face on her… ever. He stared at her for a few moments, his smile appearing on his face once again as she laughed. He felt relieved that he didn’t piss her off or anything, and it was... nice to see her so playful and hear her laugh joyfully. Especially with the current crisis.
“Yes, it really is… your country aura is just too powerful.” Taemin snickered, finding her attitude contagious. He nudged her lightly and stuck his tongue out at her, copying her action.

Bryony gave an incredulous, but still amused look after he commented on her having a "country aura", snorting and nudging him back. She shoved her hands in her pockets and let herself roll back onto her heels a couple times before shaking her head.
"I don't think I've ever even heard you say Bryony, you know? You've called me a farmer since day one." she chuckled, raising her brow in thought. "Do I really radiate that much farmer energy? Or is it the Miltank. I'm guessing it's the Miltank."
As she spoke, she bent down to where her Pokeballs had been laying on the ground and pocketed the rest of them, and fixing her hair into a short ponytail with an elastic on her wrist.
Taemin tilted his head and thought about her statement. He never called her by her actual name, did he? He always stuck with the nickname because he had grown so accustomed to it and it almost felt strange not to use it. He snorted from the mention of Miltank and shook his head, smiling in amusement.
“Nah, it’s not the Miltank,” He shrugged as he stretched, popping his back. “If I’m gonna be honest, I don’t really remember why I started calling you it. It just kind of stuck, and now, well, here we are.”
He spared a glance as she fixed her hair into a ponytail, realizing he hadn’t seen her with that look either. Lots of firsts tonight, it seemed. He dismissed that thought idly and gazed around the battlefield, which was now roughed up from their battle.
“I’m pretty sure you told me about your ranch when we first met, unless I somehow hallucinated it.” He dramatically sighed and shook his head, rubbing his temples in fake pain.

Bryony's eyes widened a bit at the memory of their first meeting, making a slightly cringed face at the thought of nearly drowning in the cave. It replayed as she listened to him speak, until it got to the memory of how he exactly had got her to start breathing again.
Wow. She really must have left some weird impression then.
"I probably did, yeah," she said, shrugging a bit. "Didn't realize that would be the thing you took away the most. I figured it would be my affinity to drown."
She snorted at the last bit, stretching a bit herself and sighing as she popped a kink in her shoulder. A comfortable silence fell over as she shoved her hands back into her pockets, looking at the sky again before back to Taemin.
"You should battle more," she said to break the silence. "You have a natural talent for it."
