Azure Academy Cafe; Sawsbuck Coffee & Bakery
Ring!
The bell attached to the coffee shop door tinkled gently as a pair of students entered in, excitedly chatting with one another. Bryony watched as the chatter faded away at the sight of the menu, particularly at one girl who tapped her lower lip with the end of her nail. Her nail was painted a bright orange color.
Interesting choice. Bryony thought to herself, taking a small sip of her hazelnut coffee and licking her bottom lip to get one more taste of the razz berry syrup shot she had, begrudgingly, paid extra for.
The girl-with-the-orange-nails finally took her order; from what Bryony understood, it was a simple black coffee with sugar. The choice surprised Bryony; she figured that someone dressed as brightly as her (she had just now noticed the contrasting bright blue of her cardigan and shoes, along with the black and white striped dress) would instead order something as flamboyant. Bryony tilted her head a bit, swiveling in her chair before immediately lowering her cup and picking up her phone when the girl looked her way, passing herself off as having been staring at the screen the whole time.
"What it is, Ellie?" the boy who had entered the shop with the orange-nailed girl asked.
"Hm? Oh, nothing!" she started, then lowered to a whisper. "I just thought the girl over there was, like, staring at me."

With a sigh, Bryony simply scrolled through her contacts and bounced her crossed leg, trying to not make it obvious that she had both overheard the conversation or to draw anymore attention to herself. Not like it was ever going to be difficult to hear, considering the three of them were the only customers in the entire establishment. Taking one more careful sip, Bryony glanced at the door again, as if expecting someone she knew to walk through the door with the fanfare of a gentle, tinkling bell.
