Four Days Prior; 11:34 PM; Kanto Region
Musty. It was the best word to describe the press building at such late hours. The air stunk of a day well done, ink in the air and the aroma of freshly printed papers, still hot off of their presses stacked neatly to be delivered around the local town come the morning. A casual rain gave the night a peaceful air as Rhythm and Jazz music filled up a majority of the cubicles now that all but Frankie and maintenance staff had left. She needed a story, a lead, something to seek after. Her Elgyem, Farsight, sat dangling its legs back and forth over the desk beside the terminal that served as Frankie's work station. It fiddled and examined a trinket they'd recently discovered on an expedition to Kantonian ruins two weeks prior. Frankie always let her favorite helper take at least one piece with them back home; The researchers and museum curators wouldn't mind one missing little bauble among the hundreds they were likely sifting and sorting through, checking monetary and historical value in the pieces; And so Farsights collection grew, holding it up with a jubilant cooing before tucking it away in their own personal drawer, labeled in marker "Farsight!" It seemed poorly written, perhaps written by the Pokemon themselves. Frankie meanwhile, rattled away at the desk with quick fingers, searching far and wide across the web; Farsight couldn't pick anything up recently, which was a blessing, as it meant nothing terrible in the world was coming their way; None at least they'd be aware of at least, but also that nothing of happy import was coming her way either. She needed a story and something to do. "How do these rubes handle just stickin' to the local stuff? There must be something interesting going on out there nearby... And the heat. It's near the dead of winter and this place feels like a summer day!"

It's near the dead of winter and this place feels like a summer day!"
A hand held up the weary but persevering journalists head by the cheek as she rested it with a sputter of annoyance. She moved along in her search as the music continued, maintenance crew hard at work to tidy up the place for the morning and cleaning to the beat. Even Frankie couldn't help but sway a bit, enjoying the tune. Then, as she began to picture the globe in her mind, jumping from island to island, region to region, and sea to sea in her thoughts, thinking of what and where was the goings on happening; No day wasn't important in the world... Farsight took notice, and through its telepathic link with Frankie, intruded and directed her to Sinnoh... A mountain village? A facility of sorts? More flashes of imagery then; Cynthia? Yes! She'd heard of this location! Azer...Aether... No; Azure Academy!
Frankie's Eyes opened from the brief stupor as her pitter-pattering of keyboard keys resumed, Farsight now hopped up on top of the terminal and peaking down at the screen from above, curious at what the fruit of it's labor had been. Several web pages emerged from the search, detailing local news regarding going ons at the renowned academy. The newest batch of elite trainers, under most expert tutelage, were soon to begin with their trials against the Pokemon Gyms of the region, rumors, sources unreliable and reliable both say. Word spreading of Gym Leaders preparations have some towns preparing small celebrations to honor the coming of the respected students, and their most famous master. Farsight hopped down and to the ground, tugging on Frankie's jacket excitedly. She smiled. "Your right, I think you found just what we needed. Something up-beat, something with some live-light... Glitz and glam." She stood as the Elgyem squeed in joy, placing on a helmet that was too wide to properly fit on the egg-shaped head of the pokemon, but strapped themselves in regardless. With a dial of her phone, Frankie in a flurry of collecting her belongings, began to speak.
"Miguel; Next job, get me in contact with Nadia. Remember how she wanted to do a documentary on up and coming stars? Well tell her I have her a damn good prospect for one such documentary!"
Miguel responded in turn, "Frankie...? That you? It's near midnight! I was sleepin'!"
"Aaaaaand? Its not ~that~ late." To which Miguel grumbled. "Yeah sorry I get a normal amount of sleep unlike you; I'll get on it but no promises. You know how picky Nadia can be." "Then I'll leave you to it! Thanks again!" "Thank me when I get a full nights sleep..." A click marked the end of the conversation, all of Frankie's things now gathered, and Farsight already waiting at the door with a few things in hand. If she could get in on this, it would be big; The public loves a good bit of drama and action coupled with their cultural heroes; She knew how much Sinnoh was proud for the Academy and all whom it produced as magnificent trainers, and from what Frankie knew by word alone, was that no batch of trainers from there was ever very boring, battles or not.
"Time to book a flight; Or two."
Present Day; 2:20 PM
The deal was made, contracts signed, and hands shook in agreement; Frankie had her job, and as she sped along the mountain road, driving an off road motor-bike thoughts raced through her mind. How might she focus the themes of the documentary? They had received permission but would they be 'welcome'? It'd been as such for a few days, and already a few bad ideas from the drawing board found their way to the proverbial mental can. To a degree, this was also Frankie's and Farsights favorite part. Both enjoyed the anticipation of the events to come... And Farsight enjoyed the motor-car rides far too much, holding their hands up as if they had been riding an amusement parks roller coaster, sitting comfortably within a side car attached to the main vehicle.
Two miles to go and she could see it coming over the horizon, it'd been a solid eight hours of driving already, but neither of the two tired. They had enough energy to power all of Unova within their veins if such a thing could even be possible, especially when on the tail of a new adventure or story to pursue, such was the joy of seeking knowledge and history in the moment of it's creation; And the product slight over-caffination.
Sinnoh was quite the region, and Frankie had only been here a handful of times, making the arrival at the gates ever more exciting. With a screech of rubber on dirt, the motor-car stopped, Frankie's helmet came off, and she looked on with delight, eyes beaming. "Smell that Farsight? History in the making right on the wind! This place has never disappointed to produce someone legendary... Now just to find them!" Farsight nodded, hopping out of the side-car and getting a head start on making way o the academy proper. Frankie followed suit, confident in stride, and with purpose in every step.
