WELCOME TO GALAR
Six months have passed since the events of Sword and Shield, and Galar has once again opened its gates for all to participate in the new season of the Pokémon League.
With only a select few receiving an endorsement, these Trainers must travel the region and win all 8 Gym Badges in order to participate in the final tournament as the whole of Galar watches.
Floaroma Town was quiet, peaceful and lacked crowds, something Maiko loved. She had decided to leave the bustling Jubilife city and take time in a smaller and more secluded town. With her two pokemon by her side, she would battle any traveller she saw, some refusing, some taking the challenge and despite her efforts, winning was not something she was yet to experience.
"What am I doing wrong?" She asked her pokemon but they didn't have an answer. The young woman wanted to win at least one battle but she lacked knowledge. She continued to walk down a dirt path before noticing the sound of humming. Looking up, she saw a Combeefarm and several workers looking flustered. Maiko picked up her pace and her pokemon quickly followed behind.
The sound was amazing and it sent chills through Maiko's body. She approached the farmhouse and spotted a woman. "Excuse me, what is this place?" The woman blinked before chuckling. "Why, this be a combeefarm darlin'. We're harvesting some good honey right now but we're a bit low on hands." She looked Maiko up and down. "Ya a city girl, you won't be much help 'round ere."
Maiko looked a little insulted but smiled. "Just because I have pretty clothes and a face doesn't mean I can't help. Please allow me to."
The woman thought about it for a while before nodding. "Alright darlin', just don't go insultin' the queen alright." Maiko was unsure what she meant by that but agreed to assist in the honey harvest.

The Combees buzzed around their hives, happily collecting necter from nearby flowers. Maiko was suited up for the job and she had to hold several jars to give to another farmer when he released the honey. There was so much honey this season and it seemed the farmers were finding it hard to cope with the sheer amount.
"Ey, wait 'ere, I gotta get more jars." The man said before leaving Maiko alone at the hive. She waited and allowed the combee to fly around her, some landing on her shoulder or head. Seth wasn't impressed but he was told to behave. Cleo was very distracted by these new pokemon and happily chased a couple of combee around.
Maiko watched her pokemon but the combee behaviour became more defensive all of a sudden. She watched as they swarmed and flew off into the trees, the loud buzzing was of anger. Maiko set down her equipment and followed the Combees into the trees.

In forest near the farm was a small pokemon causing quit the ruckus. Maiko was unsure what pokemon it was but he seemed stuck in the ground and freaking out the Combee. They clearly didn't want this intruder near their flowers or their hives. Maiko moved in and as she did, the combee began to attack the pokemon, stinging him from all sides.
"Hey stop it!" She ran in and shooed away the bees as best she could. "He's just stuck." She scolded the Combee who backed off. Maiko huffed before looking down at the pokemon.
She kneeled down and tried to get him unstuck but the blades on his body were making it hard. He saw Maiko reach and kicked at her with all his might. She snorted and timed it so she grabbed his body without getting cut. "You're a energetic little one." The Pawniard glared and as soon as he was freed, he kicked off and got into a fighting position.
"PAWN!"
Seth growled at the pawniard and Cleo fluffed up her feathers. Maiko looked to her pokemon then back at the Pawniard. "Okay, you want a battle? We can do that." She smirked before sending Cleo in, using Pluck. Seth followed up with Ember.

Pawniard was sulking in the corner, arms folded and not looking at his new trainer who not only beat him but captured him as well. She chuckled before looking at the Combee. "Lets get back to work, we have lots of honey to get." She began to walk back to the farm and in the corner of her eye she noticed Pawniard wanting to follow, perhaps he enjoyed sweet things.
